Movie & Series review

One story ends for another to take its place, as is the law of time. Nothing lasts forever.

Let it be on a deep scale or just by passing, we all know about Pokemon. As a young person watching Toonami on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s, we are all familiar with this show. Some would call it a Cartoon, while others call it an Anime, such a discussion would easily come to an understanding. But what both parties would understand is the emotions tied to the series.

For many of us, Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town was a friend we grew up with, for many he was entertainment to get rid of the boredom we felt. For me, he was a friend, an ally and someone who taught me that even in the face of defeat there are things we can learn and grow from there. And after 25 long years, his journey finally ends. A special series of eleven episodes starting from the 13th of January would bring a close to this ten-year-old's long fruitful journey. Yes, he's been ten for the last 25 years, we in the fandom have been dealing with and making jokes about that for a long time. But it all comes to an end, and it will for sure be an emotional one.

But fret not, for another protagonist will come to take his place! Nothing about this new protagonist is known just yet, other than her character design and her possible partner. But one thing is for sure, she will have big shoes to fill.
